Duh Palin...Duh!

Palin booed for mentioning Hillary Clinton

What an idiot. Of course they boo'ed her for mentioning Hillary. Republicans HATE her. And McCain picking Palin was a dumb move. Palin is no Hillary. Not by a long shot.

Great choice John!

Good quote:

"Sarah Palin is to the movement for women's equality what Clarence Thomas is to civil rights. She's an extremist and an enemy to the cause that has been fought on her behalf.... Someone should stand up and say: 'I know Senator Clinton. Senator Clinton is a friend of mine. And Sarah Palin is no Hillary Rodham Clinton.'"

DNC 2008

Last night I was worried that Obama was being set up for failure in regards to his speech. But this turned out to be above and beyond expectations.

Hillary set the tone.
Bill energized the crowd.
And Barack took the crowd home.

Last night was awesome. Barack Obama spoke to an audience of 84,000 at Mile High Stadium, on August 28, 2008 in Denver, CO. Let me repeat: 84,000 people! And like millions of others, I was on the edge of my speech and didn't realize how long the speech was. Barack is ready, willing and able to lead this country into the future we deserve.

Onward to the Future!

Our country can be as it should be, and not as it is.

Thank you Barack Obama!

It's Official - our nominee Barack Obama!!!

Thank you Hillary for taking the first step in a new era for America by calling for an acclamation of Sen. Barack Obama as the Democratic Nominee for President of the United States of America!

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/08/27/dnc.main/index.html

Thank you Hillary

-----

Last night, Sen. Hillary Clinton gave the best speech of her political career. I was happy to finially see her fully support Barack Obama for President of the United States. She said everything that she should have said, and coundn't have pointed out more clearly how this election is not about her but the issues that all Democrats have fought for - for so very long.

As inspirational as it was, sadly, we will have to wait to see how successful her speech was, and how successful she is as a leader, to guide her angry "supporters" back to the party as she said she could. Quite honestly, many will now come back, but we have to face the reality that many of those people are lost and nothing that Hillary or Barack can say will change that. Many of these angry people are now waiting for Barack's speech, but what can he possibly say that will appease these people? There's nothing he can say. They will leave the convention bitter and defeated.

Hillary gave a powerful and moving speech last night; I just wish she had ran her whole campaign with that message, because now we find ourselves in this situation that isn't fixable for some.

And this is why...

no one takes PUMA seriously. They spout out all this nonsense and NEVER have anything to back up what they are saying. And then have the nerve to turn around and complain that they're voice isn't being heard. BECAUSE YOU'RE ALL NUTS!

Monday, August 25, 2008

It was only a matter of time...

It was only a matter of time before PUMA's so-called "Hillary supporters" made enemies with REAL Hillary supporters. Even Hillary delegates can see that PUMA people are NOT Democrats. Which is why they don't have any real interest in party unity. They support McCain, spread hateful emails and post vile blogs. Sending out McCain youtube videos every other day, and hate everyone in the Democratic party. No one in PUMA represents the values Hillary fought for or reflects her positions on issues. PUMA = Republicans.

The Issues

If you haven't noticed *grin*, I absolutely hate, PUMA and all their ilk. I hate them for the following reasons:

1. They don't care about the issues. This is evident. There is NO WAY that you can justify voting for McCain and telling me that you care about the issues. Hillary and McCain are polar opposites. Don't tell me you care about Hillary's issues but you're voting for McCain. That's a lie. What you really mean is that you support Hillary the public persona, not her issues. Which leads me to #2.

2. PUMA is a fan club, not a political group. If they are a political group...what issues are they supporting? Apparently it's John McCain's platform, because that's who they want to vote for. It's very confusing because it would seem a lot easier to just join the Republican Party if you believe in Republican policies.

3. They've degraded themselves and can't even see it. Fox News has become their favorite and primary source of information. They aren't able to see how Fox News keeps them in a state of anger and outrage because Fox News is a Republican tool and always has been. They quickly forget the 8 years of slanderous attacks that Fox News waged on Hillary because they want to use PUMA - and are using them quite successfully. And then will be shocked once the election is over and Fox News returns to their Hillary Hating ways.

4. The arguments they make only make sense to other PUMA members and so it becomes a series of denials and subsequent shocks and the emotional pain follows as a result of setting yourself up for failure.

Examples:

(Hillary should stop the negative attacks on Obama because if she loses it’ll split the party.)
That doesn’t matter! Hillary will win and we will all rally behind her![Hillary loses.]
The party is divided. It’s Obama’s fault! He ran a sexist campaign!

(Hillary lost NC and can’t possibly win the nomination now. She should end her campaign.)
Hillary CAN win and she should fight to the end!
[Hillary loses and goes into millions of dollars in debt.]
How did this happen? I’m angry! Obama should pay off her debt!

(Hillary is not going to be vice-president because of the decisions she made during the campaign season.)
Hillary will be VP! Obama/Clinton 08! The party will be united even though I hate Obama because he’s sexist and racist.[Obama picks Biden.]
I’m angry! Why didn’t he pick Hillary? I’m voting for McCain!

At every step in this process, everyone seems to have known what was going to happen EXCEPT Hillary supporters. And it’s either because they only watch Fox News now, or because they are denying reality.

They also design twisted self-fulfilling prophesies. Democrats can’t win, and to prove it I’m going to vote Republican and then say “I told you so”. That doesn’t prove your point. That just makes you a Republican infiltrator, which means you have to be driven out of the party. A vote for McCain, is a vote for Republican ideology, policies and values which go against Democratic ideals at every level. Obama and Hillary are in the same party. Hillary is not a Republican. A vote for McCain is a vote against Hillary!

Dang Hillary

It has been over 2 months since Hillary dropped out of the race and "According to an FEC report filed Wednesday, Clinton's debt as of the end of July stood at just under $24 million — a decrease of only $1.2 million since the end of June." - CNN.

I'm not gloating about this. This is very bad and very serious, but ultimately it's the fault of all those PUMA people and so-called Hillary supporters. Those "18 million cracks" can't give $1 each? That'd be $18 Million right there! No instead they want to act like a bunch of spoiled children and have Obama and his supporters pay it off while they still email and blog lies about him. Until those sites go down, and the emails stop. That's not going to happen!

Oh btw, in the same time period, Barack Obama raised over $50 million from his supporters.

Now how is Hillary not to blame again?

The biggest LIAR in the world.

Thy name is Michelle Ann Newton and according to her:

She has 6 children.
She adopted 4.
3 have been thru the criminal justice system due to gang related activity.
She has had 4 heart attacks.
She has had breast cancer.

And with all of this going on, she's managed to graduate from California State University with a degree in Radio/Television Broadcasting. AND she's started her own independent label, Dynamo Records AND her own entertainment company, Dynamic Entertainment. That was all done in 1992.

In addition to this she is a "writer/producer, with more than fifteen years industry experience, from music to film."

All of this and she's only 32 year old.

I think it's clear that she is one thing for sure; Michelle Ann Newton is the biggest LIAR in the world!

OH, and don't worry, just in case she tries to take any of the sites down, or change them...I've backed them up. Unlike her, I believe in evidence!

Oh, and she's been adopted twice and has 3 legal names!

----
Update:
She's now 39 years old and "I'm ALSO A PUBLISHED POET/WRITER. FORMER MODEL. FASHION DESIGNER. INVENTOR."

She forgot to mention that she's one big joke!!!

Now we can really hear the "Hard Truths"

Obama's VP

I don't know. I would love to see Tim Kaine as VP, because I know Obama would carry Virginia all the way into the Blue for the 1st time in 44 years. But a big part of me would really like to see Kathleen Sebelius as VP.

* In 2005 she was named "one of the five best governors in America" by TIME.
* She eliminated the $1.1 billion debt of her State (rather than causing debt).
* She refused to take campaign contributions from insurers and blocked the proposed merger of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas, the state's largest health insurer, which means you can trust her on healthcare issues.

Know what you're voting for !

For all those that are voting for McCain because they don't like Obama, remember what you're voting for because you'll be held responsible:

Here's McCain:

* Opposes federally mandated universal coverage. Would increase awareness and promote the use of existing children's health insurance programs while expanding community health centers. Supports health care tax dividends for low-income Americans, medical malpractice reform, improving electronic record-keeping, expanding health savings accounts, and encouraging small businesses to band together to negotiate lower rates with health care providers.

* Opposes windfall profits tax on U.S. oil companies.

* Believes the federal government should lift restrictions on offshore drilling and provide incentives to states permitting offshore exploration. McCain said he opposed lifting such restrictions during his 2000 presidential campaign run. Against drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

* Believes Roe v. Wade is a flawed decision that must be overturned.

* Voted against 2001 and 2003 Bush tax cut laws, but later voted in favor of extending tax cuts through 2010. Says he would keep the current rates on dividends and capital gains, and maintain the current income and investment tax rates. Says he opposes a proposal supporters call the "Fair Tax," which would repeal income taxes and other taxes and abolish the Internal Revenue, but has previously said he would sign it into law as president. Says he would double the child deduction from $3,500 to $7,000 and permanently repeal the alternative minimum tax. Says he would reduce the corporate tax rate from 35 percent to 25 percent. Advocates raising the exemption from taxation on estates up to $10 million while cutting the tax rate to 15 percent. Proposes that a three-fifths majority vote in Congress be required to raise taxes. Says he would permit corporations to immediately deduct the cost of equipment investment. Would prohibit new cellular telephone taxes and ban Internet taxes. Wants to establish a permanent tax credit equal to 10 percent of wages spent on research and development.

John McSame Cheats

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/08/18/nyt-backs-up-nbc-mccain-w_n_119476.html

And then people want to know why Obama won't do the town hall meetings with him. Why? So McCain can plant his questions in the audience.

Republicans always cheat.

Labels:

John McSame's Energy Policy

Why John McCain's Energy plan sucks:

(Information taken directly from his website)

There are several problems with his policy:

#1 Searching and drilling for oil takes years and will not immediately address the energy costs we are facing today.

#2 It's bad for the environment. One of the places John and his exxon pals have been eyeballing is the coast of Virginia, my state. This would be devistating to the health of the Chesapeake Bay, which is already suffering, and horrible for the economy of Virginia Beach to which tourism to our beaches is the greatest source of income.

#3 John McCain wants to expand domestic oil and natural gas exploration and production and end our dependancy on foreign oil. We should not be trying to free ourselves of foreign oil but from all oil PERIOD.

#4 John McCain wants to give a $5,000 tax credit for each and every customer who buys a zero carbon emission car instead of just making the auto companies design and build cars like this in the first place. You can NOT put your faith into companies to do the right thing for the enviroment when their only agenda is to make more money. Many people currently want to buy hybrid cars but are unable to do so because car companies have been very smart to limit production in order to drive up the price (supply and demand). In many areas, Hybrid cars now end up costing on average $7,000 more than their counterparts. And giving out a $5,000 tax credit is pointless if people can't buy the cars to get the credit in the first place.

#5 John McCain wants to build 45 New Nuclear Power Plants By 2030. We actually have a Nuclear Power Plant here in Hampton Roads (Surry County) and I can tell you wants wrong with this idea. The biggest problem is because they are privately owned, instead of run by the government, the goal is always to make money and everything else takes a back seat to that goal. So saftey is not a priority. So every year the inspectors come in and find saftey violations and the power company says "well we don't have the money to make those repairs" and so the standards get lowered so they can pass inspection. Because you just can't shut the plant down, people are depending on that electricity. Another problem is that no one wants the waste buried in their community. Everyone loves the idea of these plants but then when they come to bury the radioactive waste in your neighboorhood, you get all upset. Well guess what? They don't bury the stuff in the same area as the plant itself for a reason!

#6 John McCain wants to "Commit $2 Billion Annually To Advancing Clean Coal Technologies" which is a non-renewable resource but gives no price tag on investing in renewable resources. He just says he will encourage the market on this topic but doesn't specify how, because he hasn't figured out how his buddies can profit off of renewable energy. Hense the push for more oil and coal which will keep pulling money out of our pockets.

A vote for McCain is a vote for the same old policies we've been using for the past 8 years, and is a vote for a dead planet!

Things I expect from Obama

I do not expect that the world we be too much different if Obama wins in November. He's just a man and not some miracle worker. I do expect him to do certain things:

1. Provide an affordable National Healthcare plan.
2. Repeal "Don't Ask; Don't Tell"
3. Fully fund "No Child Left Behind" or get rid of it.
4. Have an sustainable energy policy that invests in clean energy (even if he gives in to offshore drilling).
5. Increase Ryan White Funding.
6. Repeal or rewrite NAFTA.
7. Fund Stem Cell Research.
8. Keep Republicans away from Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare.
9. Appoint Supreme Court Justices that will keep Roe v. Wade.

Other than that, I'm not expecting much. And if he doesn't...

The Cult of Hillary

One of the criticisms of Hillary Clinton is that she is famous for attacking people and accusing them of doing the very thing that she herself is doing. Her so-called supporters, being the admiring worshippers that they are, have quickly adopted this bad behavior. They accuse ANYONE that supports Obama of blindly following him, when in fact, the crime falls upon them.

Hillary Clinton has formed a cult. It's name: PUMA

PUMA people primarily consists of middle-aged to elderly white women with no college education with a few men and minorities sprinkled around every now and then. They need the men and minorities so they can proudly announce it like a badge of honor on blogs. E.g. "I'm a black woman and I voted for Hillary" or "I'm a man and I'd never vote for NObama!" Every now and then you also find one that actually went to college but they have a hard time justifying why everyone else in their field/profession supports Obama.

PUMA is the cult; Hillary is their GOD!

She literally can do no wrong and it's complete heresy to criticize her in any way. In fact, when confronted by any of her shortcomings, PUMA law dictates that you completely ignore it. This tactic has worked so well that certain things are actually now invisible to her worshippers.

Examples:

* Hillary lied about Sniper fire in Bosnia.
* Hillary agreed not to have FL and MI delegates seated and then faked outrage months later when she was losing.
* Hillary has hated Fox News for years due to their biased treatment with her, but is now their best friend.
* Hillary sold out to the medical insurance companies (and big biz in general).
* Hillary claims to be the pro-woman candidate but besides having a vagina, can't point to a single thing that she's done for women.
* Hillary was on the board of Wal-mart during the time in which women were being discriminated against and not promoted in the company, and did nothing to promote the advancement of women in the workplace.
* Hillary has long been criticized by Republicans for being polarizing but somehow it's Obama's, the medias, the DNC, Howard Dean, and everyone else’s fault that PUMA people are upset with anyone that doesn't agree with them.
* Hillary says that Obama doesn't have enough experience but has no experience herself other than her Senate seat even though all the other candidates had years more experience than she did.
* Hillary claims she can lead the country despite the fact that her leadership in her own campaign was a complete failure as demonstrated by her own internal memos.
* Hillary claims she can organize the country despite the fact that she ran her campaign into millions of dollars in debt and her "supporters" can't bail her out.
* Hillary claims she can give us a national healthcare plan even though she failed to when she had the opportunity to as first lady (and did nothing else of note until becoming senator).
* Hillary blasts others for their criticisms of her, even when they are correct (e.g. The Lewinsky scandal as a "vast right-wing conspiracy" when in fact it turned out to be true).
* Hillary can blame sexism for her failure to win, and her worshippers can blame Obama for not speaking out against sexism, but Hillary can't be held to the same standard when it comes to the topic of racism, and he too must take the blame for that.
* Hillary claims she can win in a general election despite sexism but couldn't win in her own party and you can't talk about the flaw in that logic.
* Hillary pretends she can't be blamed for Travelgate even though she was the one that fired staff.
* Hillary was knew all about Peter Paul.
* Hillary re-writes history (even recent history) to promote her lies.

Just to name a few things. But all of that is invisible to her worshippers as if it isn't even there. They can't respond to it, because they can't even see it. If questioned, they'll resort to name calling, or will lash out in rage, or will bring up a perceived shortcoming of Obama, regardless of how irrelevant it is to the topic at hand. Ignoring Hillary comments and focusing on Obama is the most common tactic because there isn't much good you can say about Hillary. It's much easier to just make up a lie about Obama and look for a Fox News source to back-up the claim. Fox News or a youtube video made by fellow Hillary worshippers.

The saddest part is that they are completely self-destructive in nature, much like Hillary herself. Hillary is ambitious to a fault and will do anything, ANYTHING to accomplish her goals. Cutting off her nose to spite her face, is not beyond her limits. Her worshippers have followed similar suit. They will vote for McCain out of spite, regardless of how much damage it does to them, the country, women, or the world. All the while, ignoring that the message they are sending out is that McCain is similar to Clinton. Although I agree with that completely, others scratch their heads in confusion at comparison. Hillary=McCain? The PUMA cult can't and aren't taken seriously by anyone but themselves, because they are irrational, and they only make sense to each other.

The good news is that when everything is said and done, what they think doesn’t matter. The vast majority of them are election year voters that don’t participate in politics until an election is coming up. By then, most of the decisions are already made, and everyone will have quickly forgotten who they are just like all the other dissidents of the past.

Can anyone remember who they were? Can anyone remember the groups they formed?

No? Exactly!

The Unity Myth

The PUMA people have the right acronym but for all the wrong reasons. Party unity is a myth. Regardless of what goes down at the convention, large groups of people are going to walk away pissed off. But you know what? That's fine! The party isn't going to die just because people decided to leave the party to join the Republicans or to call themselves Independents.

If Hillary supporters are willing to cross the line and become Republicans, this is the best thing that could possibly happen to the party. Progressives need to both encourage this and try to push all those from the Democratic Leadership Council out. Harold Ford, Arthur Davis, Tom Carper, Hillary, all of them need to go.

If this means a loss for us in November, that is unfortunate, but with the DLC and their ilk gone, it leaves progressives with the chance to restructure the party and put our issues on the agenda without distractions. If Hillary wants to run for president in 2012, she'll have to run as a Republican or Independent.

------------

Even though Hillary supporters (and McCain's campaign that adopted this view) like to view Obama supporters as mindless, cult-like followers. The truth is, I do not feel like Obama is the best person in the world. I don't agree with everything that he does, nor do I agree with all of his policies. I am an Obama supporter because I believe that with the options I was given, he was and IS the best person for the job.

#1 Obama is a pragmatist. After years of having a president that stuck to his guns regardless of the facts, I'm happy to see that Obama is willing to change his position (i.e. "flip-flop" from critics). That flexiblity is needed as president.

#2 Obama has ideals, but is willing to compromise. I am against off-shore drilling as Obama is, but Obama is willing to concede and allow for it IF it means that we get a real energy policy that will make us less dependent on oil, and thus making off-shore drilling a moot point.

#3 I like that he thinks about things. Intially I liked Hillary's Healthcare Plan better because it was mandatory, until I stopped and thought about it. Hillary's plan failed the first time she attempted it despite bi-partisan support of a new healthcare plan because she decided to do it all behind closed doors and not compromise. I realized that Obama's plan was better because it gives people a choice. And who is going to chose to pay for a more expensive private healthcare plan over an affordable federal plan? What company is going to continue to go thru private healthcare? So why force people to do something they will willingly choose to do?

----

That's how I feel about the whole Unity myth and Obama, I'll post about Hillary later...

They speak for themselves...

I don't have to even say anything. The memos speak for themselves. But here is an excellent article on Hillary and why she failed:

The Front-Runner's Fall

Here are the memos:

Leaked Clinton Campaign Memos

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0808/12420.html

I'm glad that someone in the campaign decided to leak the memos because they clearly illustrate why Hillary Clinton would not have been a good president. She ran her campaign into debt and the internal memos demonstrate her lack of leadership and poor decision making.

My favorite part of the article:

“The anger and toxic obsessions overwhelmed even the most reserved Beltway wise men,” Green writes. “[H]er advisers couldn’t execute strategy; they routinely attacked and undermined each other, and Clinton never forced a resolution. ... [S]he never behaved like a chief executive, and her own staff proved to be her Achilles’ heel.

“What is clear from the internal documents is that Clinton’s loss derived not from any specific decision she made but rather from the preponderance of the many she did not make.”

Comes down to character...

First the video:

Now my comments:

This is exactly why she wasn't even considered for Vice President. Despite all that she says about supporting Obama and wanting to get him elected, she turns around and *wink wink* *nudge nudge* to these hard-core, all-or-nothing, my way or the highway, older white women.

You can't be second in command when you think you're better than your boss.
You can't be trusted when your only true loyalty is your own ambition and ego.

Clinton has many, many, loyal voters. I get that. They see a woman of high esteem and grace with a long track record of accomplishments. Not everyone sees Clinton like this. And until you get that, you only have half the story and will ultimately fail at any goal you form.

When some people see Clinton, they see a woman full of plots and plans-within-plans. A woman that wants above all else: POWER! And a woman that will do anything to get that power regardless of how much destruction it causes.

That characterization may not be accurrate or even true, but it's a political reality.

And these PUMA people, who Clinton is indirectly cheering on, need to really understand that if Obama loses, there are millions of voters that will see to it that Clinton takes the full blame and will dedicate themselves to making sure she loses her Senate seat.

Her best bet is to support Obama and aim for a Supreme Court seat or the White House in 2016.

Election '08

I will be so glad when November has come and gone. I'm getting election-fatigue.

Women for Obama!

Much to the outrage of PUMA...women are still voting for Obama.
