Tomorrow
Tomorrow Hillary will give her speech and endorse Obama. I predict that it won't do a bit of good. Months ago, party elders warned her that her campaign was becoming too negative and would hurt Obama's chances of winning in November if he won the nomination. Her response was that SHE was going to win so it didn't matter. Now her supporters HATE Obama. HATE! There is no use talking to them, or even trying to appeal to reason. It's irrational HATE based on lies, rumors, and hate filled blogs and emails (although in their minds it's all 100% true).
My guess is that when she makes her speech tomorrow, her so-called "supporters" will completely ignore what she has to say. Many will turn against her and say she's a sell-out or whatever. Some won't address anything she said at all like she never even made a speech and repeat the arguements they've been making over and over and over again as if it's going to convience anyone new that doesn't already believe it (it won't). Many will still push the whole "write-in Hillary" or "I'm voting for McCain" despite the fact that Hillary herself has clearly expressed how she felt about this.
I guess my point is: If Hillary can't get her own "supporters" to do what she says, how did these same people expect her to get the rest of the country to follow along? She would have made the best President, and yet no one does anything she says. Hmm... Those people with all the pro-Hillary blogs aren't going to listen to her. Because they never supported her in the first place. They weren't pro-Hillary. They were anti-Obama.
You can't say that you are pro-Hillary and then vote for McCain. You can't be pro-choice and vote pro-life anymore than you can claim to be a vegetarian while chopping down on a double whopper with extra bacon. Yet, reasonable people are supposed to believe that voting against the issues that Hillary stands for, is somehow supporting her or standing up for some moral cause.
Hate is exponentially more powerful than logic ever will be.
